Smithmade Essentials is an eco-conscious soap and candle company crafting luxury artisan soap and soy candles with a creative flair.
I designed the Smithmade brand to have an elegant feel, with light and airy visuals, watercolor graphics, and thoughtful packaging.
During my research, I noticed soap sleeves in stores frequently slipped off the bars. This left the product unbranded and vulnerable.
I started working on designs that would keep the soap and sleeve together. That’s how I came up with the idea of using twine to tie the sleeve in place. It turned out to be a crucial element in boosting brand recognition.
The Smithmade website was developed on Shopify. My goal for the design was to showcase the products and let the designs of the soap be the eye-catching feature. A theme throughout this brand project was to let the products speak for themselves. For this reason, the supporting visual elements are kept minimal.
I created a variety of marketing collateral to promote new product launches, generate brand excitement, and educate the audience about Smithmade Essentials' brand positioning in the eco-friendly and handmade goods market.
